Bear is the author of Merchant of Hope, The ABCs of Successful Christian Living, and the mystery suspense novel, The Ecuadorian Deception. He’s the co-author of Death Knocking, Life Calling, which has been featured on NBC News. Bear’s also on the inspiring DVD, The True Story of St. Nicholas, which was filmed on location in Turkey (Known in Bible times as Asia Minor), where Nicholas lived and ministered.
Bear has spoken in churches, public schools, and universities across the United States, China, Japan, and South America on, “How to be a person of a hope in a world where hope is on the endangered species list.”
Prior to becoming an author and speaker, Bear taught at Midland Lee High School and was an adjunct at Midland College. He was recognized by the Texas Education Agency as Texas Teacher of the Year. He’s also a James Madison Fellow, Fulbright Teacher Scholar, Walmart Foundation Teacher of the Year, and John Ben Sheppard Fellow in Leadership Ethics.
