Caryl and Bear married in 1987 after meeting on a blind date. They have one daughter and three grandchildren. A retired educator, Caryl now spends her days praying and volunteering through her church. She loves to play with the grandkids, and manages Bear’s books, podcast, and speaking engagements. Her hobbies are Bible study, gardening, and cooking. 

Dr. Michael Dain is currently Professor of Theological and Christian Studies for Wayland Baptist University serving at the Lubbock campus. Dr. Dain previously served at Dallas Baptist University prior to coming to Wayland in 2009.  He has served as a pastor and interim pastor for churches in Texas.  Dr. Dain completed his doctoral studies in Church History and Theology at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.  His wife is Robin, a public schoolteacher and they have two adult children.

Dr. Andy Coward is Minister of Music at St. Luke’s United Methodist church in Lubbock, TX. It is a delight for Andy to work with people of all ages and with ensembles of all kinds in worshiping the Lord through music and drama. He directs and oversees the children’s choirs, youth ensemble, adult choir, orchestra, bell choir, Central Campus praise band, and the Christmas and Summer musicals. He also composes and arranges for each ensemble on occasion and specializes in children’s musicals. Andy has a deep interest in Christian apologetics and enjoys fruitful discussions on all sorts of topics. He is a strong advocate of the health and environmental benefits of a whole-food, plant-based diet and is always looking for another tasty, planted-based recipe. Reba Griggs is a freelance communications specialist with experience in graphic design, photography and videography. Reba has a B.S. in Agricultural Media and Communications and a M.Ed. in Instructional Design and Technology. Reba and her husband, Derrick, enjoy camping, cooking, and watching movies with their children.
